"Back Together Again"

It has been such a long week/weekend/and week all over again! I dont know where the time goes. My mom always told me that as I got older time would fly by...and it literally does. This weekend Hillary came home and I was so excited! I spent most of Friday afternoon with her while Cody and Tyler Dent were at a baseball visit at AUM. I really enjoyed getting to catch up! While she was in Atlanta I got to talk to her but its nothing like the conversations we can have when she is home! When the boys got back Cody and I went to the Rattlesnake Rodeo and enjoyed hearing Luke Bryan and Billy Currington. We went to church on Sunday as usual and enjoyed the service, then I went with my mom to a bridal shower for a family friend. So much for a relaxing weekend! Yesterday, I drove from Troy to Opp, picked up Hillary and then we went to LBW to watch our guys play some ball! Hill was so excited because she hasn't been to a game all season due to her accident and hospital time. So of course she had to take tons of pictures!

I am so Glad that my best friend is home! I think that since I have nothing left to do today, I will probably spend the afternoon scrapbooking! So I may post some "cricut creations" stuff later!

These are just a few of the things I have been working on lately with my Cricut! I Love it!!! I am always trying new things so any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

This is a cake carrier that I made for Cody's mom Gail
last Christmas! I have also done some with the full name
across the front instead of just the "last" name initial.

This is a small dish that I made today. It has a few flaws
but its the first one I have done with a swirl edge, i normally do
polka dots! But i made several large platters this Christmas for gifts
and they were a huge success!

This is one of the many acrylic tumblers that I have made.
I have made several of many different kinds some with initials,
some with baseballs, some with hearts or stars, pretty much
anything. I also made a few for my brother for this years baseball
season and I also made Cody some that said Saints Nation and LBW
baseball! The cups are my favorite thing to make!

This is a small glass jar that i plan to put on my nightstand or
dresser. It has a paper towel in it so I could take the picture
(my flash made it hard to see) but its actually clear and normally
you can see the polka dots on the other sides of the jar!
This is a simple trashcan that I decided to decorate for my bathroom!

I made this container to take bathroom products such as shampoo,
soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, hairspray, etc. back and forth from Opp to Troy.
I hate packing my bathroom essentials in the same suitcase as my clothes
because if it ever spills I have such a mess! So this is a much easier and
cleaner way to take things back and forth!

This is one of the bobcat cups I made for my brother!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my ideas! If there are any suggestions out there or something that you do with your cricut, I would love to hear about it and try it! Thanks!!!

My First Blog...

I would like to start off by saying that I created this blog for many reasons:
1. To document and keep track of daily life and share it with people who are interested!
2. To show my creative side with my many different "cricut creations" as I like to call them!
3. To post pictures for my enjoyment and yours!
4. Finally, because last Fall during my freshman year of college, my best friend Hillary and I got completely addicted to looking at other people's blogs and I just thought I would try it!

So...it may take me awhile to get the hang of this but maybe you all will enjoy it!

On a different note, I would like to say that on January 31st, 2010 my life changed forever...I won't go into great detail but my best friend was in an accident and is very lucky to be alive today! I am so thankful and praise God everyday for her recovery! The accident in general was like nothing I have ever experienced, I have never came close to losing someone that I was so close to and through it all I became closer to God and I am very thankful for that. Aside from that, she is doing excellent and is almost COMPLETELY back to her normal self. I figured since I was just starting to blog, that the least I could do was dedicate my first blog to her, Hillary! I love you Hill! I am so glad that you are getting better!!! Here are a few pictures from her welcome home party when she got to come home for the weekend. Hillary will be home for good on March 26th, 2010 and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

"Tyler Dent" was very happy to see her too!

Amber K and I were So excited to see our Best Friend Again!!!!
Hayley worked really hard on the Welcome Home Banner!
